Black belt promotions

1st Degree Taekwondo – Sep 2017 – UKTF
1st Degree Kickboxing – Dec 2019 – Master Thompson

I began training at Grand Master Sutherlands Martial Arts in 2009 as I was a 5 year old ninja, I progressed through Ninjas, Kicking Kids and Juniors. I enjoyed training as a junior, I made loads of friends and I enjoyed getting better with each grade. As a red belt I started assisting in the Ninja Classes and really enjoyed the opportunity to help them. I knew how they felt and could relate to them as they progressed through the kids classes.

I’ve always enjoyed the physical side of martial arts and especially competing In Taekwondo & Kickboxing. As a junior competitor, I’ve won competitions throughout the uk and Ireland, I’ve also competed in Poland, Holland and Belgium. Ive represented Scotland in Taekwondo & Kickboxing and I enjoy testing myself and have made some great friends. I was so proud to achieve my Black Belt after 8 years training and to test under Grand Master Sutherland and Master Thompson. I kept the momentum going and was promoted to black belt in Kickboxing by Master Thompson in 2019.

What started as a hobby as a kid is now my passion, I love martial arts, training, competing and now ever more so – teaching. I attended my first IIC in 2019 and can’t wait for the next opportunity.
